Soulbeam Sounds
"For 20 years, I’ve taught children how to navigate the world. My passion is teaching them how to find peace within it."
As a veteran educator, QTVI, and neurodivergent individual, I know that traditional wellness spaces aren't always designed accessibly. I use sound therapy, embodied movement and functional breathing not just to calm the nervous system today, but to build the sensory resilience and tools needed to confidently step into community and wellness spaces tomorrow.
Anxious? Overstimulated? Vision impaired? Traditional mindfulness shouldn't require sight or neurotypical masking. With ten years as a QTVI and two decades in education, health and social care. I design soundscapes and offer spaces for emotional regulation that act as accessible tools for life.
I'm extremely passionate about making a difference to the mental wellness of children and young people in today's fast paced world.
I create bespoke packages meeting the children where they are.

Sensory Regulation & Auditory Tools for Life
About Charley Colombo
Charley is an accomplished educator bringing two decades of classroom and leadership experience including 10 years as a Qualified Teacher of Vision Impairment (QTVI). As a neurodivergent practitioner, Charley combines elite professional credentials with lived experience to deliver safe, accessible, and deeply impactful sensory intervention programs for schools, communities and families. Charley goes beyond expectations driven by a passion for "tools for a life lived well".
The Growing Student Mental Health Crisis
With student anxiety, sensory overload, and emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA) at an all-time high, young people need more than standard talking therapies. They need immediate, non-verbal somatic tools to regulate their nervous systems and access their learning.
The Solution Lies in Creating Space for the Nervous System to Rest and Reset.
Immersive, somatic auditory regulation. Instead of asking dysregulated students to talk through their anxiety, we use therapeutic sound to physically calm the nervous system. By shifting the focus from cognitive processing to sensory soothing, we create immediate, accessible pathways back to emotional stability.

Testimonial
"Charley worked at our Centre for secondary-aged children with ASC as part of a therapeutic package for all of the children in the Specialist Unit. She delivered sessions to small groups or 1:1 to explore each child's connection with sound.
The children at the Unit have significant sensory sensitivities which make the noise of mainstream very difficult to manage so we had known that for a long time noise had been a real challenge in their lives. What we hadn't appreciated, before starting the work with Charley, was how positive and transformative sound could be for our students.
Charley worked with patience, flexibility and care with all of the students and showed them in her characteristic gentle manner how to explore sound, bringing a wonderful range of sounds and instruments for the children to explore.
As well as being so sensitive to the needs of the children, she was incredibly professional in her approach: punctual, wrote thorough reports and even held a session for staff to help them understand the techniques (and of course experience the benefits for themselves!).
The children benefitted so much from the sessions but also the insight into how sound can help them regulate and it is true to say that we use at least one of the techniques every single day here at the Emmanuel Centre to regulate our students."
